What’s on the ballot?

On November 4, 2025, Taylor ISD voters will consider two ballot propositions:

Funds to maintain and support academic programs and classroom instruction.

DOES NOT REQUIRE A Tax rate INCREASE:

Thanks to the retirement of old debt, an increased homestead exemption under new legislation, and new commercial businesses in town, the district is able to propose both propositions and lower the tax rate by nearly 4 cents, saving the average homeowner approximately $500 per year.

Key Areas Addressed by the Bond and VATRE

  • Classrooms & Programs

    Prop A: Renovations and additions to Taylor High School’s multi-purpose facility (used for classes, extracurricular activities, and events), modernization at Taylor Middle School, new Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) spaces for grades PK–8, and districtwide infrastructure.

    Prop B: Classroom resources, instructional materials, robotics, UIL, CTE, and science fairs.

  • Safety & Infrastructure

    Prop A: Traffic flow improvements, access control, technology systems, and major facility repairs such as HVAC and roofing.

    Prop B: Operational safety through staffing support.

  • Enrollment Projections

    Prop A: Land acquisition, facility expansions, and new buses to meet enrollment growth.

    Prop B: Ensures funding to sustain staffing and programs as student enrollment increases.

No Increase to the current tax rate

Taylor ISD’s I&S tax rate will remain stable at $1.06, supporting both new and ongoing projects —

a drop of approximately four cents from last year’s rate.
